LISA IS IN THE CLOSET ...

Lisa Colpaert was selected from the many talented designers featuring on the Invasie van Kortrijk'.

Lisa Colpaert studied Fine Art/Fashion Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University College Ghent (KASK), where she graduated in June 2008 with her collection Get behind the Velvet Curtain: the Appearance and Disappearance of the Fatal Girl. In September 2009 she finished her master in Film- and Theater Studies at the University of Antwerp where she studied costume design and female identity in cinema.

Currently, she works at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University College Ghent as researcher on a project that studies the representation of imaginary art and artists in film.

As designer, she tries to explore female iconography in terms of masquerade by analyzing stereotypes, archetypical attire and 'trompe l'oeil'-effects.
